Teams Management

Overview

The Teams functionality in LoadFocus allows you to collaborate efficiently by inviting team members to join your team. This feature is available across all LoadFocus services including Load Testing, JMeter Load Testing, and API Monitoring. With Teams, you can run, edit, and view both new and existing tests together, ensuring a seamless workflow and enhanced collaboration.

You can access Teams by:

  1. Visiting https://teams.loadfocus.com/, or
  2. Navigating to the User Management section of your Account menu.

Key Features

  • Team Member Invitations: Invite colleagues to join your team with just a few clicks.
  • Role-Based Permissions: Assign specific roles—Admin or View-only—to control access and permissions.
  • Service-Specific Access: Grant permissions for individual services such as Load Testing, JMeter Load Testing, and API Monitoring.
  • Automatic Account Linking: If the invited team member already has a LoadFocus account, they can automatically join your team via the invitation link.
  • Easy Team Switching: Quickly switch between teams using the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the dashboard.

How to Invite Team Members

  1. Access the Teams Section:

  3. Enter Email Address: Input the email address of the team member you wish to invite.
  4. Assign a Role: Choose the appropriate permission level:
  • Admin: Can run, edit, and view tests.
  • View-only: Can only view tests.
  1. Select Service Permissions: Specify which LoadFocus services the team member can access.
  2. Send Invitation: An email with an invitation link will be sent to the team member. If they already have an account, they will be able to join your team immediately.

Managing Team Roles and Permissions

After a team member accepts the invitation, you can manage their roles and permissions through your team settings. This includes:

  • Updating Roles: Change a team member's role from View-only to Admin (or vice versa) as needed.
  • Revoking Access: Remove a team member from your team if required.
  • Customizing Service Access: Modify the services a team member is allowed to use based on project needs.

Switching Between Teams

To navigate between different teams:

  1. Locate the Dropdown Menu: Find the team switching dropdown in the top right corner of your LoadFocus dashboard.
  2. Select the Desired Team: Click on the team you wish to switch to.
  3. Manage Projects Seamlessly: Quickly access different testing environments and projects associated with each team.
