Frequently asked questions

What are notes for?

Recording what was true about a run. A configuration change, the traffic pattern you were imitating, or what you concluded from it. Months later the numbers on their own rarely explain themselves.

How do I add one?

Open the results of a load test, go to the Notes tab and click Add Note. A note takes a title and a description, and attaches to that specific test run.

Where do notes appear?

In the results dashboard when you view that run, and in the PDF report for it. So a note written for yourself also reaches whoever receives the report.

Can I edit or remove a note?

Edit with the icon beside the note. Removing is permanent, and because notes appear in the PDF report, deleting one also takes it out of the reports for that run.

Should I write notes on runs that passed?

Those are the ones worth writing. A failed run gets investigated anyway, while a good run is what you will later compare against, and it is far more useful with the conditions recorded.
