How many locations can I test from?

25 cloud regions, and the same list is available for load testing, JMeter tests, page-speed monitoring and uptime checks. No service on the platform has a shorter list than another.

Why does the location matter?

Latency, routing and CDN behaviour all differ by region, so a test run from beside your own servers flatters them. Testing from where your users actually are is what shows the difference.

Can one test run from more than one region?

Load can be spread across regions so a single run arrives from many addresses at once. That exercises your load balancers the way real traffic does, which a single-source test never will.

Can I change the region of a test I already made?

Yes. Edit the test and choose another region before the next run. Running the same test from two regions and comparing is often more informative than one larger test from one place.

Which region should I pick if my users are spread out?

Start with the region holding most of your traffic, then add a run from the furthest large group. The gap between those two results is usually the most useful thing a location list gives you.
