Load Testing Configuration Steps:

Create better configuration for your load tests.

Setting Up a Configuration for Your Load Test

Define the Load Test Configuration

Load Testing is an iterative process, you need to start small and repeat the load tests under heavier load to discover breaking point in your application, website or infrastructure.

The duration or number of iterations in your load test can be an important factor in discovering issues like memory-leaks or performance degradations.

Run tests from multiple locations.

Requests Configurations

Configure the API Method for your request (GET is the default HTTP method used when loading a website in any browser.

However you can run API request like POST, PUT, HEAD, OPTIONS, DELETE, add various headers, cookies, query strings or basic authentication options to your requests.

Add Multiple Requests

For each load test configuration you can add multiple requests of various types.

Let's say you want to mimic the authentication login API call to extract the auth token and use it in the next call where you just make GET requests simulating the loading of your pages that are protected authentication. You can do that by adding one request after another in the load test configuration.
